Updated Oil Rivalry League

The Oil Rivalry League has replaced the Apertura & Clausura format with a two-tier system for both the Just Stop Oil (JSO) and Just Use Oil (JUO) camps. This new format features League A and League B for each camp with a promotion and relegation system. The lowest-ranked teams in League A will drop down, while the top two teams from League B will move up, ensuring a dynamic and competitive environment.

One standout feature of this league is the playoff format. In addition to the championship clash between League A winners from each camp, the League B champions will also compete in their own playoff match. While this lower-level faceoff does not have  official implications, it can be served as an intriguing annual friendly match.

To balance the competition, the JSO camp has refreshed its lineup based on the Greenest Countries 2024 ranking, bringing in teams like the Czech Republic, Estonia, and Latvia. However, this change has removed some stronger teams like Portugal, Uruguay, and Ecuador.

The JUO camp brings in new teams like Estonia and Latvia.


JUO camp has been inherently weaker by default. To enhance competitiveness, Russia and Saudi Arabia, as leaders of OPEC and OPEC+, now have performance boost by default. You can click on a little "control icon" next to these two teams to check out the boost details.

The World Cup simulator has recently introduced a wide range of custom leagues and tournaments. While this feature is experimental and requires a lot of clean-up, these leagues run fine and are suitable for casual simulations. Within these leagues, team seeding is determined by their most recent Elo ratings in-game.  An important note is that you need to simulate the league consecutively to retain the integrity of promotion and relegation. [Outdated] How to use the new 24-team World Cup format to simulate UEFA Euro 2024

Updated on 02 Apr 2024 :  This article is outdated. The simulator has just introduced many custom leagues or tournaments for you to play with. Here's the direct link to create Euro Cup 2024+. The new 24-team World Cup format is now available, which means you can also simulate a Euro 24 tournament. Follow these steps to run a Euro 24 simulation in less than a minute: 1. Choose Germany as the host country. Ignore the red colored warning for now. 2. Set the starting stage to "Group stage". 3. Choose "UEFA" for the "pick hosts from only one confederation" option. This ensures that a UEFA country is selected as the host instead of countries from other continents, allowing you to simulate a Euro tournament indefinitely. 4. New "Post tournament outcome" feature has been released.

The Forever World Cup Simulator has just introduced a new feature called " Post Tournament Outcome " that adds an extra dynamic element to the gameplay. If the game world fails to reach the target of the outcome every year, the metric will go down. Once the metric hits a certain threshold, it will result in a game over, forcing the player to delete the save and start again. Each outcome has an expiration year, and once it has expired, it will no longer be applied to the save. Players can then select a new outcome after the previous one has expired. You can select these outcome on the homepage before you create a new event.
