The World Cup simulator has recently introduced a wide range of custom leagues and tournaments. While this feature is experimental and requires a lot of clean-up, these leagues run fine and are suitable for casual simulations. Within these leagues, team seeding is determined by their most recent Elo ratings in-game.
An important note is that you need to simulate the league consecutively to retain the integrity of promotion and relegation. If you stop simulating the league, even for just a year, it would result in teams being reseeded and placed in divisions based on their latest Elo ratings.Let's talk about the format of each new league:
UEFA Nations League:
- Mirroring the real-life league structure, it comprises 3 divisions with 4 groups per division and 4 teams per group.
- Each group has one promotion slot (except the top division) and a relegation slot (except the last division).
- Winners of each group in the top division advance to the knockout stage.
- Division C has the remaining European teams.
- The first year (2026) use the real life teams.
