Knockout bracket editing

A powerful new "Bracket" section has been released in the competition editor, which allows you to tailor the entire knockout bracket and matchups easily.

For each bracket position, you can:
  • Specify potential groups for team selection
  • Choose the rank of teams within those groups
  • Select teams from specific previous stages
  • Opt for best or worst ranked teams from selected groups
  • Freely add new matchups or remove existing ones
Using the 48-team World Cup as an example:

If the default 32-team knockout doesn't suit your needs, you can use the new feature to create a 16-team knockout.

In the "General" tab of the knockout stage, edit the knockout slots to 16 and edit the rounds to 4.

Go to the "Bracket" tab and remove half of the brackets by clicking the "trash icon"

Use the "Minus" or "Plus" icon to add or remove potential groups the opponent may come from.

With this new feature, we've updated many competitions to more closely resemble their real-life counterparts. For instance, the 48-team World Cup competition in the editor now features brackets based on FIFA's recently published article about knockout stage scheduling. Even the EURO Cup also has a realistic knockout brackets.
